Everest Base Camp Trek for 14 Days

The Everest Base Camp is one of the most famous treks in the world. As you trek, you’ll witness awe-inspiring views of many of the world's highest and most beautiful mountains. You’ll pass through lush valleys with abundant flora and fauna, Sherpa villages and Buddhist monasteries and meet yaks and enjoy butter tea. You’ll also enjoy spectacular views of Everest, the highest mountain in the world.

From Kathmandu you’ll fly to Lukla to begin your adventure. You’ll also spend a day at Namche Bazaar, a bustling town in the heart of Sherpa country. If you’ve fully acclimatized, you’ll proceed to Everest Base Camp where views unfold from the summit of Kala Pattar of Khumbu Glacier, Nuptse and the south-west face of Everest itself.

01 Day
Kathmandu to Phakding (2610mtrs/8563ft)

Wake up early to travel to Tribhuwan International Airport where you’ll catch early morning 30 minutes flight to Lukla. On arrival at Lukla, our guide will introduce you to our porters before we beginning your our trek towards Phakding (2610mtrs).

02 Day
Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11286ft)

Trek to Namche Bazaar, which will take about 5-6 hours, depending on condition and the fitness of the trekkers. At Namche, you’ll stop for a day to acclimatize.

03 Day
Namche Bazaar (3440m/11286ft)

Namche Bazaar is known as the Gate way to Everest. Spend a day acclimatizing and adjusting to thinning air. You’ll also be involved in a short trek to a museum, which exhibits Sherpa people architecture and customs. You’ll also enjoy learning about Sherpa community and the locality.

04 Day
Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860m/12664ft)

You’ll trek at an altitude of around 3800 meters. When you Tengboche, you’ll be involved in a guided visit to the monastery. You’ll observe the murals and architecture and learn little but about the Buddhist religion as practices by the Sherpas.

05 Day
Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m/14468ft)

You’ll reach 4000 meters and more as you climbe towards Dingboche. You’ll walk slowly acclimatizing. The trek can take between 5 to 6 hours.

06 Day
Dingboche (4410m/14468ft)

Spend a day in Dingboche getting used to the thinner air and visit nearby Chhukung Valley. You can also trek to reach Chhukung Ri (5546m). From there, you can see magnificent views of Makalu, the fifth highest mountain in the world. Come back after enjoy the scenery to Dingboche and relax in the evening. The trek is about 5 hours of activity.

07 Day
Dingboche to Lobuje(4910m/16108ft)

You’ll reach 4910 meters as you spend about 5 to 6 hours trekking.

08 Day
Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5153m/16906ft)

Spend about 4 hours trekking to Gorak Shep.

09 Day
Everest Base Camp (5363m/17595ft)

You’ll reach the Base Camp, situate at 5363 meters and after enjoying the scenery, travel back to Gorak Shep. The trek takes about 5 hours to complete.

10 Day
Hiking up Kalapathar (5545m/18192ft) and overnight at Pherbuche(4210m/13812ft)

Reach even higher today as you trek to Kalapathar (5545m). Start early to arrive early at the spot that offers the best views of Mount Everest. From there, you’ll also see panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Descend then to Pherbuche. The trek takes about 6 hours.

11 Day
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11286ft)

You’ll walk all downhill to arrive at Namche Bazaar with 6 hours of trek.

12 Day
Namche Bazaar to Phakding (2610m/8563ft)

Reach Phakding as you descend even more with 4 hours of trekking.

13 Day
Phakding to Lukla (2840m/9317ft)

Return to Lukla with final day of trekking. You’ll spend overnight tat the town and explore surrounding areas.

14 Day
Lukla to Kathmandu

Enjoy breakfast before taking a 30 minutes flight to arrive at Kathmandu. The plane leaves around 7:30
