Poverty and past conflicts have seriously affected the people and children of Nepal. This situation and poverty have resulted in the deaths of thousands of people and turned many children into orphans. Because of this, many children arrive in urban centers like Kathmandu and Chitwan in search of jobs and prosperous future. Unfortunately, the reality of city is very different from the charmed life they’ve imagined. The children face torture and exploitation. VAN has also recognized this reality and collaborates with many local orphanages in Kathmandu and Chitwan to place orphans and to raise fund for these orphanages.
We are presently supporting these orphanages- you are free to work in any orphanage you like.

These orphanages are home to children who have been abandoned or orphaned owing as a result of past conflicts or poverty. We believe our efforts make a positive impact on Nepali society and on the future of these children. Our orphanages not only provide the children with shelter, but also food, education and most importantly a hope for a prosperous future. The orphanages are now in dire need of volunteers who will take care of these youth and make them feel at home. If you have a strong enthusiasm and willingness to make a positive impact in the lives kids, this is an ideal project for you. Come, volunteer and help these children lead a normal childhood.
