Working in an orphanage is one of the most popular options when you volunteer in Nepal. The orphanages provide an ideal opportunity for volunteers because there is a lot you can contribute when you volunteer. The orphanages in Nepal are generally overcrowded. They are also underfunded and understaffed. This is because the orphanages generally don’t get any help from the government and they have to rely on donations. This is despite the fact that orphanages take in hundreds of orphaned and hopeless children and house, feed, clothe and send them to school.
