 Annaparna Base Camp Trekking of 10 Days
The route is set amidst some of the highest and most panoramic mountains in the world. You’ll reach not only Annapurna Base Camp but also the Machhepuchare Base Camp. Witness massive peaks like Himchuli Peak, Gangapurne, the three Annapurnas and Lamjung Himal. From Poon Hil, you’ll spectacular sunrise and see even more peaks. It’s a journey that’s awe-inspiring.
01 Day |
Kathmandu to Pokhara
You’ll be on a bus to Pokhara early in the morning and arrive at Pokhara about 6 hours later. Stay overnight at Pokhara |
02 Day |
Pokhara to Ulleri
Arrive at Nayapul with an hour of bus ride from Pokhar. . From there, start walking until you reach Birenthanti. Enjoy lunch in the village, relax for a while and then start to climb after that. It’s all steep uphill climb before you reach Hille and then onwards to Tirkhe Dhunga. Cross the streem and start climbing until you reach Ulleri, a Magar village situated at 2070 meters. |
03 Day |
Ulleri to Ghorepani
Trek through forest with rhododendron and oak trees and pass through streams hearing birds singing. You’ll arrive at Nagethanti from where you’ll climb to Ghorepani, situated at 2850 meters. |
04 Day |
Ghorepani to Tadapani
Wake up early to trek to Poon Hill, situated at an altitude of 3195 meters. From there, you can brilliant spectacle of towering Himalayas and mesmeric sun rise.
After you’ve had time to soak in the beauty, come down to Ghorepani for hot breakfast. Start walking to Tadapani after that. You’ll walk along ridges, pass pine and rhododendron forest and arrive at Duerali, situated at 2960 meters.
Have lunch at Duerali before descending to Banthanti and then make your way to Tadapani, situated at 2540 meters |
05 Day |
Tadapani - Chhomrong - Sinuwa
View upper Modi Valley from Tadapani. Start ascending high on the West of Modi Khola to arrive at Sinuwa from where you’ll see Macchapuchre very up close. |
06 Day |
Sinuwa to Deurali
Walk to Khuldi Ghar for about 90 minutes and start to climb steeply where you’re trail passes through thickets. View gorge below and pass through the pasture of Tomoe and George of Panchen Barah. You’ll arrive at Deurali where you’ll halt overnight. |
07 Day |
Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp
You’ll cross two wide avalanche trackes on narrow trail as you walk from Deurali. Start descending from there to arrive at Modi Khola and follow the river to arrive at Bagar. You’ll start climbing from there to reach Macchapurchre Base Camp at 3700 meters.
Walk for another 2 hours before you finally arrive at Annapurna Base Camp. Stay overnight and watch spectacular sunrise and sunset. |
08 Day |
Annapurna Base Camp to Sinuwa
After sunrise, enjoy breakfast around 7 and leave for Sinuwa. You’ll walk back the same route and arrive at Sinuwa for an overnight stay. |
09 Day |
Sinuwa to Kyumi
Follow the trail through Jhinu as your descend to arrive at Chhomrong. You’ll encounter hot spring where you’ll halt for lunch. After that, pass rift valley and arrive at Kyumi for an overnight stay. |
10 Day |
Kyumi - Nayapool - Pokhara
Pass through Ghandruk, a Gurung village, before arrive at Nayapool. The Gurungs are one of the largest ethnic groups of Nepal of Tibeto-Burman group. They’re known for honesty and fierceness and many enroll in armies of Nepal, India and Britain.
At Nayapool, you’ll stop for lunch and move on to Pokhara on a bus. |
11 Day |
Pokhara - Kathmandu
Depart for Kathmandu early in the morning. You’ll take a 6 hour bus ride to arrive in the capital city of Nepal, where your tour will end. |
